Jan Lukas Matyssek has gained experience in the field of Additive Manufacturing and R&D through internships at Renishaw and Bosch Rexroth. As a student assistant at the Institute for Machine Elements and Machine Design, Jan was involved in design and analysis tasks. Currently, at SLM Solutions, Jan holds the position of Senior Build Data Preparation System Engineer and Process and System Development Engineer. Jan also worked as a Scientific Assistant at Fraunhofer ILT, focusing on thermographic analysis of the LPBF process. Additionally, Jan completed a Master Thesis on the same topic. With a background in process development for laser powder bed fusion systems, Jan has a strong foundation in research and development within the manufacturing industry.
