Fredrik Mattinson

Fredrik Mattinson is a seasoned optical design engineer with extensive experience in the field. Currently serving as Principal Engineer of Optical Design at NIL Technology since August 2020, Fredrik specializes in the optical design of modules utilizing diffractive optical elements (DOE) and meta surfaces, employing Zemax for simulations. Prior roles include Senior Developer in Optronics at Tobii AB, where Fredrik was involved in lens design for eye-tracking cameras, and optical design roles at FLIR Systems, GE Healthcare, and Saab, where notable achievements included the design of high-performance lenses for infrared cameras and optical systems for various imaging applications. Fredrik holds a Technologie Licentiate in Laser Physics and Quantum Optics from KTH Royal Institute of Technology and a Gymnasie ingenjör degree from Åva skolan.
