Taren Smith

Taren Smith is an experienced audio professional specializing in sound design, sound editing, and mixing. Currently serving as Senior Sound Designer at Nine Entertainment Co. since June 2017 and as a Re-recording Mixer at SmithSound since January 2021, Taren focuses on immersive sound design for narrative storytelling and long-form non-fiction projects. Prior to these roles, Taren held positions as Senior Audio Director and Audio Director at Network Ten from February 2015 to June 2017, where responsibilities included sound editing, voice recording, and final mixing for a variety of content. Taren holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Audio Production from SAE Institute, completed between 2012 and 2014.
