Alex Armlovich is a Senior Housing Policy Analyst at the Niskanen Center since May 2022, with prior experience as a Senior Research Associate at the Citizens Budget Commission and as an Adjunct Fellow at the Empire Center for Public Policy. Alex's extensive background includes roles at the Manhattan Institute, focusing on state and local policy, and contributions to various publications such as the New York Times and Bloomberg View. Alex participated as a Taubman Summer Fellow at the MBTA, worked as an intern at the House of Commons and Office of Senator Schumer, and gained initial experience as an IT Intern at Iroquois Central School District. Alex holds a Master of Public Policy in Social and Urban Policy from Harvard Kennedy School and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Political Science from the University of Rochester.

Established in 2014, the Niskanen Center is a nonpartisan think tank that works to change public policy through direct engagement in the policymaking process: developing and promoting proposals to legislative and executive branch policymakers, building coalitions to facilitate joint action, and marshaling the most convincing arguments in support of our agenda.
