Kevin T. Kabat

From April 2007 to November 2015, Mr. Kabat was CEO of Fifth Third Bancorp, a bank holding company. He continued to serve as Vice Chairman of the board of directors of Fifth Third Bancorp until his retirement in April 2016. Before becoming CEO, he served as Fifth Third Bancorp’s President from June 2006 to September 2012 and as Executive Vice President from December 2003 to June 2006. Additionally, he was previously President and CEO of Fifth Third Bank (Michigan). Prior to that position, he was Vice Chairman and President of Old Kent Bank, which was acquired by Fifth Third Bancorp in 2001.

Mr. Kabat has been a director of Unum Group since 2008 and is currently chair of the board and chair of its governance committee. He was also previously the lead independent director of E*Trade Financial Corporation. He has also held leadership positions on the boards and committees of local business, educational, cultural and charitable organizations and campaigns.
