Mika Mäkelä

Mika Mäkelä serves as the Senior Vice President and Managing Director at NKT since March 2017, focusing on the company's expansion into the North American market. Previously, Mika held several leadership roles at ABB from 2008 to 2017, including Vice President and CFO, where contributions were made to establish ABB's position in the high-voltage cable systems sector. Mika's career began with positions at DigiComp, where a successful startup in eCommerce was achieved, and included roles in the Finnish Defence Forces and as Chairman of the National Union of Finnish Business Students. Mika holds a Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering and Management from the University of Vaasa and graduated in ICT from the Finnish Business College.
