Ruth Zaipuna has a diverse work experience in the finance industry. Ruth served as the Chief Executive Officer and Acting Chief Executive Officer at NMB Bank Plc since 2020 and 2019 respectively. Prior to that, they held the position of Chief Financial Officer at the same company from 2018 to 2019. Before joining NMB Bank, they worked as the Chief Financial Officer at Standard Chartered Bank Tanzania from 2011 to 2018. Ruth also has experience as an Independent Non-Executive Director at Tanzania Portland Cement Company Limited since 2016. Ruth started their career at PwC Tanzania in 2002 as an Assurance Auditor and worked there until 2011.
Ruth Zaipuna pursued their Master's degree in MBA in Finance and BCOM Accounting from the University of Dar es Salaam from 1997 to 2002. Ruth also attained the CPA (T) in Public Practice qualification from Professional Qualifications between 2005 and 2010.
