Greg Bangser is an experienced nonprofit professional currently serving as the Deputy Executive Director and COO at the Northern Manhattan Improvement Corporation (NMIC) since June 2012. In this role, Greg is responsible for defining and achieving agency-wide goals, leading new program implementation, and overseeing evidence-based improvements. Previous positions at NMIC include Chief Program Officer and Director of Strategic Development and Operations, where responsibilities encompassed program supervision, strategic development, and securing funding for organizational missions. Educational qualifications include a Master of Public Affairs from The Princeton School of Public and International Affairs and a Bachelor of Arts in Government and Psychology with a minor in Economics from Bowdoin College.

Our mission is to serve as a catalyst for positive change in the lives of the people in our community on their paths to secure and prosperous futures. Through our work, we preserve affordable housing through legal services, community organizing, and building weatherization, promote economic self-sufficiency with adult education and workforce development and offer supports of social services, health education, and domestic violence intervention. All NMIC services are free and bilingual in English and Spanish.
