Stefan van de Riet has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Stefan is currently the Finance Director at Nobian since July 2021. Prior to this, Stefan held the position of Finance Director at Nouryon from May 2019 to June 2021. Stefan has also worked at AkzoNobel, where they served as a Site Controller from January 2015 to April 2019, Procurement Controller Decorative Paints EMEA from January 2012 to March 2015, and Controller Integrated Stores Netherlands from January 2010 to December 2012. Earlier in their career, Stefan worked as the Finance Manager at Sikkens NL from March 2008 to January 2011, Sector Controller Joinery & Wood Coatings Benelux at Akzo Nobel Decorative Coatings from January 2006 to February 2008, and Controller/Project leader ERP/Manager Accounting at Royal Schiphol Group from October 2003 to December 2005. Stefan began their career as part of a Financial Management Traineeship program at Albert Heijn from March 2001 to October 2003.

Stefan van de Riet completed their education at the University of Twente from 1995 to 2001, where they earned a Master of Science degree in Industrial Engineering & Management. Stefan then pursued further education at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam) from 2001 to 2003, where they obtained an Executive Master of Finance and Control degree with a focus on Accounting and Finance.
