Tom Snakkers has a diverse education history. In 1993, they attended Sophianum for an unspecified degree. Tom went on to complete their MSc in Business Administration with specializations in Finance and Strategy at Tilburg University from 1999 to 2005. In 2002, they briefly studied economics at Université Pierre Mendès-France (Grenoble II).

Tom pursued further education at Erasmus Universiteit Rotterdam, where they earned an Executive Master's degree in Finance & Control from 2007 to 2011. Tom later obtained a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) qualification in Management Accounting, Plant Control, and Financial Decision Making from the Institute of Management Accountants in 2015.

In 2015, Tom also attended Columbia Business School for a leadership program. In 2018, they completed a program in Executive Management and Leadership at INSEAD. Tom continues to acquire additional certifications, including "Building Digital Partnerships and Ecosystems" from INSEAD scheduled for 2023 and becoming a trainer in the topic of Unconscious Biases from Heineken Internal in December 2020.
