Noble Schools
Carissa Moorehead currently serves as the Dean of Instruction at Noble Schools and is a Surge Fellow with the Surge Institute, a nonprofit focused on cultivating leaders of color in education. From July 2015 to December 2022, Carissa held multiple roles at KIPP Chicago, including Assistant Principal, where responsibility included overseeing school-wide systems, staff professional development, and coaching teachers, as well as serving as Dean of Students and Enrichment Coordinator. Carissa's earlier positions included teaching various grades at Dodge Renaissance Academy. Carissa earned a Bachelor of Arts in Preprofessional English from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale.
