Mika Sutinen has extensive work experience in the field of database engineering and administration. Mika started their career at TietoEnator as a trainee in 1996. Mika then worked at Tieto as a System Specialist from 1998 to 2011, specializing in SQL Server and supporting Finnish healthcare EPR solution as a Senior Technical Specialist (DBA).
From 2011 to 2018, Mika Sutinen worked for Aurinkorinne 1 Housing Cooperative as a member of the board, serving as the chairman from 2012 to 2013 and again in 2017.
In 2018, Mika joined Nordcloud, an IBM Company, as the Database Reliability Engineering Team Lead, responsible for leading a team in managing databases. Mika later became the Principal Database Engineer.

Mika Sutinen obtained a Vocational Qualification in Business Information Technology from Jyväskylä Institute of Adult Education between 2003 and 2006. Additionally, they obtained the certifications of Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals, MCSA: SQL 2016 Database Administration - Certified 2019, and Certified Scrum Product Owner® (CSPO®) in 2021, 2019, and 2017 respectively.
