Omkar Kulkarni has extensive experience in Bluetooth technology and microelectronics, currently serving as Vice-chair of the Mesh Working Group at Bluetooth SIG since October 2017, where leadership in specification development for Bluetooth mesh occurs. Concurrently, Omkar holds the position of Senior R&D Engineer at Nordic Semiconductor ASA, contributing to the Bluetooth Mesh Working Group on behalf of the company. Previous roles include significant contributions to Bluetooth mesh specifications at Bluetooth SIG and Cypress Semiconductor Corporation, where engineering efforts focused on Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) applications. Omkar's academic background includes an MS in Microelectronics and VLSI from the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur and a BE in Electronics and Telecommunication from Don Bosco Institute of Technology. Additionally, practical experience includes a project on non-invasive blood glucose measurement and development of a portable ultrasonography system.
