Mark Keliar

Mark has more than 23 years of experience in architectural design and project management across multiple market sectors including Justice, Public Buildings, Hospitality and Transportation. His knowledge extends to new construction, complex project renovations and interior fit-ups. Mark manages client liaison, budget development, approval processes (with authorities having jurisdiction), schematic studies, design development, engineering and specialty consultant coordination, contract administration and field review. He is known for his extensive large-scale project experience and his abilities to work with both clients and consultant teams collaboratively and effectively.

As Principal of the Transportation Studio, Mark develops aviation, transit and multi-modal hub solutions for clients around the world. He understands the needs of government and private operators to maintain, upgrade and provide new transportation services and supporting infrastructure. Mark manages inter-disciplinary teams that provide purpose-driven design solutions to build better, more efficient and environmentally-friendly transportation nodes that incorporate flexibility for future system expansion. Most recently, he has played an integral Architectural Practice Lead role on significant projects in Toronto, ON, such as the Greater Toronto Airports Authority (GTAA), Terminal 1 (T1) Redevelopment, Eglinton Crosstown Light Rail Transit (ECLRT) – Cedarvale interchange station, Mount Pleasant line station, Caledonia transfer station, Relief Line South – Pape interchange station, Gerrard transfer station and the Metrolinx GO Woodbine station.

Mark’s form of transportation outside of work is road cycling. His riding experience provides great insight on designing project solutions for bike access and storage at multi-modal hubs as cycling rates continue to rise in trend setting cities across the globe.
