Since joining NORR in 2006, Robin has been a driving force in the advancement of award-winning architecture, design and sustainability whilst maximizing the value from the budget. He leads every project from ideation to completion, building close collaborative relationships between the parties whilst utilizing the intelligent application of not just key lessons learned, but also new technologies to continuously advance the building or masterplan to drive value, quality and sustainability. He understands that strong communication and collaboration between clients, contractors and the project team are critical success contributors to successfully meeting timeline and budget.

In his role as Director, UK, Robin’s primary focus is to lead teams to the successful delivery of Higher and Further Education, Science & Research and Commercial projects and masterplans including such works as the Computer and Information Sciences Building at Northumbria University. As a passionate advocate for sustainable designs, Robin creates stunning architecture using local materials in inventive ways to minimize the impact on the local environment. He is always exploring opportunities to decarbonize the buildings he works on using a fabric-first approach, adaptive reuse and heat/energy decarbonization solutions whenever possible.

As an avid runner for most of his life, Robin stays active by hitting the pavement to clear his mind and recharge so he can approach every challenge with a fresh perspective.
