Juan Gonzalez Mendia

Juan Gonzalez Mendia is an experienced educator and sports professional with a diverse background in coaching, teaching, and administration. Currently serving as an Educator at World Rugby since January 2023, Juan has also been the Founder and Managing Director of Sudamerica Coaching since January 2017. Additional roles include Professor at the Sport Science MSc program at Universidad Austral - Argentina, Physical Education Teacher and Sports Coach at Stamford Endowed Schools, and various coaching and mentoring positions with England Rugby and Northampton Saints. Juan has held significant roles in other organizations such as Technical Director for the Turkey Rugby Federation and Professional Sport Coach at Oundle School. Academic qualifications include a Master's Degree in Sport Science and Coaching from UCLA, a Post Graduate Certificate in Education from the University of Buckingham, and a Bachelor's Degree in Sport Science from the University of Idaho and Universidad del Salvador.
