In 2005, a number of local farmers and business people noticed the lack of locally-owned and operated banks in Chico and surrounding communities.  Pooling years of experience and individual success, the group committed to forming and building a true community bank that would provide high quality, hands on professional service to its customers.  That vision became Northern California National Bank (NCNB).  

NCNB opened in Chico in March 2006 under the leadership of banking legend John Luchessi and an exceptional group of directors including the late Jim Paiva and Tom Dauterman, Wayne Erickson and Rich McGowan.  Individually, they had already become successful in their respective fields, and together they developed a premier federally-chartered community bank.  Since our opening, NCNB has focused on meeting the banking needs of small- to medium-sized businesses, non-profit organizations, government agencies, agricultural operators, business professionals and individuals throughout Butte and Glenn Counties, and more of Northern California. 

Today the Bank takes pride in continuing the legacy of fiscal responsibility, relationship building, and delivering exceptional service as part of Column National Association.
