Vic Simpson has extensive experience in the mining industry, currently serving as General Manager at Northern Star Resources Limited since March 2014, overseeing Kalgoorlie Operations from November 2020 to June 2022 and Thunderbox Operations from July 2022 onwards. Prior roles include Mining Manager, responsible for four underground mining operations, and Underground Manager for the Raleigh and Rubicon/Hornet/Pegasus mines. Prior to Northern Star, Vic served as Mine Superintendent at Barrick Gold Corporation, managing daily operations of the Raleigh, Rubicon, and Hornet underground mines. Vic's career began at KCGM, where roles included Underground Superintendent and Senior Mining Engineer - Underground, responsible for developing schedules, budgets, and supporting mining operations. Vic holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mining Engineering from the WA School of Mines, Curtin University, completed between 1998 and 2003.
