Michael Tolley

Michael Tolley is an experienced educational leader currently serving as Superintendent of Northshore School District since April 2019, with previous roles including Interim Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent for the East Region. Prior to Northshore, Michael Tolley held various positions at Seattle Public Schools from August 2007 to January 2019, including Chief Academic Officer and Associate Superintendent for Teaching and Learning. Michael's educational career began at Charleston County School District from August 1986 to July 2007, where responsibilities included teaching and administration. Earlier in Michael's career, a role as a Science Teacher was fulfilled at Bishop England High School. Michael Tolley's educational qualifications include an Educational Specialist degree in Educational Leadership from The Citadel and a Master of Arts in Education (Biology), along with a Bachelor's degree in Marine Biology from the College of Charleston.
