Debbie Byrnes

Debbie Byrnes is an experienced educator and freelance journalist with a career spanning several decades. Since August 2008, Debbie has served as a College, Career & Military Advisor at Harlan High School within Northside ISD, while also teaching English and Journalism/Yearbook at John B. Connally Middle School. In addition to educational roles, Debbie has been a Freelance Correspondent for Educational Testing Service (ETS) since May 2013 and previously worked as a Freelance Journalist for the Houston Chronicle from June 1991 to December 2004. Early career includes the position of Editorial Representative at Columbia Gas of Ohio from September 1986 to July 1989. Debbie holds a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from Ohio University.
