Roman Kalkavan

Roman Kalkavan is an Equipment Engineer at Northvolt since August 2021, with expertise in designing with Siemens NX and SolidWorks, troubleshooting equipment, and developing test setups for battery technologies. Prior experience includes roles as a Test Engineer and Product Test Technician at Northvolt, where responsibilities encompassed testing lithium-ion batteries, developing test methodologies, and ensuring data quality. Roman also completed Master's thesis projects at RISE Research Institutes of Sweden and Gnosjö Automatsvarvning AB, focusing on the impact of vegetable oil-based metal cutting fluids. Earlier internships included work in construction machinery at HİDROMEK and production processes at Aksan Kardan LTD. Roman holds a Master’s degree in Materials Engineering from Chalmers University of Technology and Bachelor's degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Turkish Aeronautical Association and Instituto Superior de Engenharia de Coimbra.
