Nazila Dabestani

Nazila Dabestani has extensive experience in humanitarian and educational sectors, currently serving as the Head of HR Management System and Strategy and Admin Advisor at the Norwegian Refugee Council since July 2015. Previous roles include Consultant at Nur Gard, LLC, where various projects were managed for NGOs in former Soviet Republics, and leadership positions such as Director and Board Member at the Tajik-American Education Fund, where Nazila facilitated educational initiatives in Tajikistan. Nazila also founded and served as Principal of the American School in Dushanbe, and held significant roles as Country Representative for Global Communities and Board Member for NORSED, focusing on development projects in Africa. Educational qualifications include a Master's Degree in Conflict and Development Studies from NMBU and a B.A. in Economics from the University of Maryland.
