Robert was formerly a member of the board of directors of Brand.net (acquired by Valassis Communications), ClariPhy (aquired by Inphi), Covigo (acquired by Symbol Technologies), Elemental Technologies (acquired by Amazon), KACE (acquired by Dell), Mblox (acquired by Callidus), Mozes (acquired by ePrize), Occam Networks (acquired by Calix), Passif Semiconductor (acquired by Apple), Resonext Communications (acquired by RF Micro Devices), SideStep (acquired by Kayak), Skyward (acquired by Verizon), and Zenverge (acquired by Freescale). He has also worked with such companies as Embark (acquired by Princeton Review), Escalate (acquired by GERS), Kayak (Nasdaq: KYAK), mPower (acquired by Morningstar) and Quantum Effect Devices (acquired by PMC-Sierra).
Robert has nine years of operational experience in various roles, from engineering to marketing and product management. Before joining Norwest, he was at Silicon Graphics. Prior to Silicon Graphics, Robert worked at IBM-ROLM Systems.
He holds a bachelor of science and a master of science in electrical engineering, and an MBA, all from Stanford University.
