Saija Wilson has a diverse range of work experience in the legal field. Saija started their career as a Junior Trainee at Fondia Oy in 2009. From there, they worked as a Secretary at The District Court of Helsinki, where they primarily dealt with Criminal and Coercion Law cases. Saija then worked as a Legal Trainee at Dittmar & Indrenius and Asianajotoimisto Juutilainen & Co Oy. In 2012, Saija joined TMF Finland Oy as a Legal Trainee and later transitioned to the role of Legal Officer. Saija provided corporate secretarial services to clients, preparing various types of corporate secretarial documentation.
In 2013, Saija continued their work as a Legal Officer at TMF Finland Oy. Saija then joined Leeds Building Society as an Assistant Legal Adviser, supporting the Legal Team in contract law and data protection matters. In 2015, they returned to TMF Finland Oy, this time as a Legal Officer/In-House Lawyer, responsible for corporate secretarial services and day-to-day in-house legal matters.
In 2017, Saija joined Privaon Oy as a Privacy Specialist, providing data protection advice and support to clients. Saija also played a vital role in the company's internal legal matters. Saija was later promoted to Senior Privacy Specialist, a position they held until 2022.
Most recently, Saija has taken on the role of Senior Legal Counsel at Nosto in 2022. Saija is responsible for overseeing the company's legal operations and compliance globally. Their areas of focus include commercial, IPR, data protection and privacy, employment, and M&A legal matters.
Saija Wilson obtained a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree in Law from the University of Helsinki from 2008 to 2014. During their time at the University of Helsinki, they specialized in Law. Saija also studied at the University of Valencia from 2012 to 2013, focusing on law as well. In addition, Saija attended the Limkokwing University of Creative Technology for a brief period in 2010, where they studied Business Management. Saija obtained a certification in Certified Information Privacy Professional/Europe (CIPP/E) from the IAPP - International Association of Privacy Professionals in September 2017.
