Soumen Nath has over 30 years of work experience in the field of instrumentation engineering. Soumen is currently working as a Lead E&I Engineer at NOV since June 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Petrofac Emirates LLC as a PMC - Instrumentation, where they were responsible for document reviews, FEED verification, and participation in HAZOP and SIL reviews. Soumen also worked as an Engineering Coordinator at Cairn Oil and Gas and as an Engineering Design Supervisor (EGS) - Instrumentation at Bechtel Corporation. Soumen has also worked at Triune Energy Services Pvt. Ltd. as the Head of Department - Instrumentation and at Foster Wheeler as the Head of Department - Instrumentation (Chief Engineer). Soumen started their career at Engineers India Limited as a Manager, where they led detail engineering projects for various clients, including NALCO and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd. Soumen has extensive experience in handling control systems and has worked on projects in Canada, Iraq, and the USA.
Soumen Nath completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Physics Honours from the University of Calcutta from 1983 to 1986. Soumen later pursued their Bachelor of Technology in Instrumentation from Jadavpur University between 1987 and 1990.
