Lawrence van der Meer

Lawrence van der Meer is a seasoned cyber security professional with extensive experience in various roles across notable organizations. Since March 2017, Lawrence has been a Senior Cyber Security Specialist at Nova Scotia Power, overseeing the deployment and operation of Security Operations Center (SOC) services and contributing to SIEM design and use case development. Prior experience includes positions as a Cyber Security Analyst and IT Security Specialist at Bell and Bell Aliant, where responsibilities encompassed SIEM content development, architectural guidance, incident response, and network monitoring. Early career roles at Aliant involved server security analysis and administration. Lawrence holds a Bachelor of Science in Advanced Major, Computing Science from Dalhousie University, completed in 1997.
