Maryam Izadi

Maryam Izadi, P.Eng, is an accomplished telecom and electrical engineer with extensive experience in the energy and automation sectors. Currently serving as a telecom engineer at Nova Scotia Power since September 2023, Maryam previously held the position of senior electrical engineer at EastPoint, overseeing upgrades of electrical distribution systems. Earlier roles include designing electrical safety circuits and control systems at Actemium, where significant projects involved the Michelin and Bio Vectra facilities. Maryam has also contributed to optimization models at Nova Scotia Power and implemented automated solutions at UIS International. With a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Shahrood University of Technology, Maryam has cultivated a strong foundation in engineering through diverse roles, from research and development at Sam Electronic Co. to engineering consultancy as a self-employed professional.
