Miguel Fernández Zafra

Miguel Fernández Zafra is a credit risk models specialist at BNP Paribas, part of the Risk Quant Force since September 2024. Miguel is also a member of Nova Talent, a networking community connecting organizations with talented young professionals. Previously, Miguel served as a manager data scientist at BBVA from October 2016 to September 2024, focusing on credit risk measurement and data science projects across various countries. Miguel co-founded CHEF VALO, a social entrepreneurship initiative aimed at ecologic cultivation with handicapped individuals, and worked as a project coordinator at IE Business School on a research project assessing the effectiveness of Design Thinking in business decisions. Prior freelance experience includes tutoring over 25 students with a 100% passing ratio. Miguel holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, a Master of Science in Data Science from KSchool, and has passed CFA Level I.
