Niko Haaraniemi

Niko Haaraniemi is a Research Scientist specializing in the Built Environment at Novatron Oy since June 2018, focusing on machine vision, mapping, and localization research. Previously, Niko held positions as a BIM/R&D Trainee and Surveying Engineer at Mittauspalvelu MP-Map Oy, where responsibilities included conducting construction surveys, particularly for the Tampere Tramway Project. Niko's experience also includes roles as a Surveying Engineer at Ympäristönsuunnittelu Oy and as a Surveyor trainee with the City of Kalajoki, along with multiple internship positions in surveying. Niko Haaraniemi holds a Master of Engineering in Geoinformatics from Aalto University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Surveying Engineering from Lapland University of Applied Sciences.
