Sarmento Silva serves as the Global Director at NOVAVAX INC since November 2021, focusing on strategic business and sourcing support related to indirect spend, logistics, and procurement strategy development. Prior to NOVAVAX, Sarmento held various positions including Category Leader at Takeda, where expertise in meetings and events procurement was demonstrated, and Commercial Business Partner - Procurement at AstraZeneca, leading sourcing initiatives for the US Oncology Business Unit. Additional experiences include roles at PSEG as Global Category Leader, independent consultancy in supply chain management, Director of Procurement Transformation at Honeywell, and various leadership positions at AstraZeneca and Rubbermaid Commercial Products. The education includes an MBA in Marketing from Western New England University and a BA in Communications from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
