Giorgos Bakalos, MD, MSc, PhD, MRQA, FFPM, currently serves as Senior Vice President and Head of Global Medical Affairs at Novocure since July 2023. Prior to this role, Giorgos held positions at Clovis Oncology, where responsibilities included leading European Medical Affairs from April 2019 to June 2023, and at Roche from April 2009 to March 2019, where influence extended across various oncology initiatives as Group International Medical Director. Giorgos's earlier experience includes leading medical affairs for biosimilars and chronic hepatitis, as well as clinical roles at Coronis Research SA and a clinical research organization. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Pharmacoepidemiology from the University of Thessaly, an MSc in Health Crisis Management from Ethnikon kai Kapodistriakon Panepistimion Athinon, and a Medical Doctor degree from Grigore T. Popa University of Medicine and Pharmacy Iași.
