Anders Viksø-Nielsen is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in enzyme and microbial assays, currently serving as Senior Director and Head of Production Strain Technology at Novonesis since January 2024. Prior to this role, Anders held multiple senior positions at Novozymes from February 2001 to January 2024, including Senior Director of Global Enzyme and Microbial Assays and Director of Assay Development & Optimization. Responsibilities included driving analytical and technical strategies, overseeing global quality control analysis, and leading research and development initiatives. Anders has a Doctor of Philosophy in Plant Biochemistry from the Royal Veterinary and Agricultural University of Denmark and a Master of Science in Horticultural Science from Den Kgl. Veterinær- og Landbohøjskole. Early academic work involved studying starch phosphorylation mechanisms during a Ph.D. program from 1997 to 2001.
