Lone Baunsgaard currently serves as Science Manager at Novonesis since January 2024, bringing extensive experience from a previous tenure as Science Manager at Novozymes from September 2011 to January 2024. Prior roles include Project Director and Project Manager at Fluxome A/S, where the focus was on the production of poly-unsaturated fatty acids in yeast. Lone Baunsgaard has also held significant academic positions, including Head of Development and Senior Research Scientist at Aresa A/S, and Associate Professor at both KVL - The Royal Veterinary and Agricultural University and the Department of Plant Biology and Biotechnology at the University of Copenhagen. Early career experience includes a Post Doc position at Risø National Laboratory and a research assistant role at the Faculty of Life Sciences, KVL. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Molecular Plant Biology and a Cand. Scient in Biochemistry from the University of Copenhagen.
