Mads Thaysen is an accomplished professional in the fields of process informatics and analytics, with extensive experience in the biotechnology sector. Currently serving as the Director of Process Informatics and Analytics at Novonesis since January 2024, Mads previously held the same position at Novozymes from July 2014 to January 2024, where responsibility included optimizing operational process data and advanced analytics. Mads has held various leadership roles, including Head of Operations at Novozymes in Franklinton, and has managed operations across multiple enzyme recovery plants. A Lean Six Sigma certified professional, Mads also has a strong background in project management and optimization, having worked at Novo Nordisk in roles that involved cleaning validation, failure investigation, and Lean implementation. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the Technical University of Denmark, and a Master's degree in the same field from the same institution.
