Marci Schramm

Marci Schramm currently serves as the Director of Development for the Gulf States Newsroom at NPR, focusing on enhancing local news coverage in Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama. Prior to this role, Schramm was the Director of Membership, Events, and Engagement at the Bureau of Governmental Research from May 2018 to March 2023. Schramm co-founded River Road Press in 2014, serving as Co Publisher until its sale in 2020. Previous positions include Executive Director at French Quarter Festivals, Inc., and the New Orleans Opera Association, where Schramm undertook significant rebuilding efforts post-Hurricane Katrina. Schramm also held executive roles at the Louisiana State Museum and Entergy Corporation, with an extensive background in marketing and public relations in various opera organizations across the United States. Educational credentials include degrees from Wayne State University and Siena Heights University.
