Sharahn Thomas

Sharahn Thomas has extensive experience in the media industry, serving at NPR from 1999 to the present, with roles including Vice President and Senior Director, where responsibilities include managing newsroom budgets and partnering strategically with senior leadership. Previous positions held at NPR include Director of News Operations, Deputy Director of News Operations, Operations Manager, and Assistant Producer, demonstrating capabilities in budget management and logistical coordination for diverse news operations. Prior to NPR, Sharahn Thomas worked at New Jersey Network as Radio Operations Manager and held roles including Talk Show Host, Weekend Television News Anchor, and Field Producer. Educational qualifications include a BA in Mass Media Arts from Hampton University and an MBA from the University of Maryland - Robert H. Smith School of Business. Additional professional development includes courses from the National Association of Black Journalists, Learning Tree, and Project Management Institute.
