Tom Matthews

Tom Matthews is an experienced professional in artificial intelligence and machine learning, currently serving as a Staff AI Engineer at Nscale since May 2025. Prior to this role, Tom worked as a Senior MLOps Engineer and Machine Learning Engineer at Unitary from March 2023 to May 2025, and as a Machine Learning Engineer at Apple from March 2022 to January 2023. Previous positions include Research Scientist at Credit Kudos from August 2021 to March 2022 and Data Analyst at Touch Surgery between February 2020 and August 2021. Tom holds an MSci in Theoretical Physics from the University of Cambridge, completed in 2019, and has a history of academic achievement with A levels from Woodhouse College and GCSEs from St Albans School.
