Nigel Quinn has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and companies. Nigel is currently the Head of Technology & Networks at NSSLGlobal since October 2019.
Prior to that, they worked at NSSLGlobal Ltd for 12 years, starting as a Systems Engineer in November 2007 and moving up to Principal Systems Engineer and then Enterprise Engineering Manager. In these roles, they were responsible for managing various teams and handling in-house and customer-facing IT solutions, including networking, cyber security, email, VoIP, and firewalls.
Before their time at NSSLGlobal, Nigel worked at QIN as an Owner from 1994 to 2007, where they implemented solutions for the SME market, including standard office solutions and security solutions.
Nigel also had IT consulting roles at Central Procurement Directorate and Government Purchasing Agency, where they managed security and LAN/WAN infrastructure, designed and implemented contingency/clustering arrangements, and provided technical appraisal and implementation of web services.
Earlier in their career, Nigel worked as an IT Consultant at the Government Purchasing Service, where they were responsible for LAN Server administration, networking infrastructure, and user support.
Nigel also worked as a Visual C++ Programmer at MARI for a brief period.
Nigel Quinn pursued their education in the field of computer studies. From 1989 to 1990, they attended Staffordshire University, where they obtained an HND in Computer Studies. Subsequently, from 1990 to 1993, Nigel attended Ulster University, where they earned a BSc in Applied Computing.
