Andrew K. has extensive experience in information security and cybersecurity management within various government agencies. Currently serving as the Chief Information Security Officer and Cyber Engagement Manager at the NSW Department of Communities and Justice since October 2020, Andrew K. also holds the position of Chief Cyber Security Officer as of July 2024 with the NSW Department of Customer Service. Previously, Andrew K. worked at Defence Australia from August 2012 to October 2020 as an Information Technology Specialist and Analyst. Between February 2008 and January 2011, Andrew K. was the Chief Executive Officer at Mayflower Computers. Academic qualifications include a Master's degree in Cyber Security Operations from UNSW (2019-2021) and a Bachelor's degree in International Relations and National Security Studies from Deakin University (2011-2015).

The DCJ is the lead agency in the new Stronger Communities Cluster. The department enables services to better work together to support everyone's right to access justice and other help for families, and strengthen/bolster the promotion of early intervention and inclusion, with benefits for the whole community. Working together in the Stronger Communities cluster means we can continue to deliver services with a more unified and collaborative approach. There is now a greater focus on prevention and early intervention, faster responses, more seamless operations, less duplication of effort and better outcomes.
