Itay Gissis has a notable career in R&D and engineering. Starting in 2006 as an Experimental Physicist & Electrical engineer and advancing to roles such as System engineer & Scientific project leader, Senior System Engineer, and currently serving as the VP of R&D at NT-Tao since 2022.
Itay Gissis began their education at Tel Aviv University in 2002, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Itay then went on to Psagot where they obtained a BSc in Physics & BSc in Electrical engineering. Later, they pursued a Master's degree in Engineering Physics/Applied Physics at Technion - Israel Institute of Technology from 2007 to 2012. Lastly, they completed their education journey by earning a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Experimental physics with a focus on Pulsed power, Spectroscopy, Astrophysics, and Data analysis (Statistics) from Technion - Israel Institute of Technology from 2014 to 2021.
