Simone Eizagirre Barker

Simone Eizagirre Barker is a Product Manager at Nu Quantum since July 2024. Previously, Simone held the position of PhD Researcher in Quantum Optical Materials at the University of Cambridge from October 2020 to July 2024. Simone engaged as a Radio Collaborator in Science & Technology for EITB, delivering 22 live broadcasts. Additionally, Simone co-founded and hosted a podcast at The Cavendish Laboratory, contributed as a RisingWISE Enterprise Fellow at the University of Oxford, and served as a podcast host, editor, and producer for Bluesci. As a freelance science writer from February 2016 to May 2021, Simone published work across various respected platforms. Other roles include editor for the Cambridge Journal of Science & Policy and positions with EUSci. Educational achievements include a PhD in Physics and a Master of Research from the University of Cambridge, along with a Master of Chemical Physics from The University of Edinburgh.
