Abhishek Patnia

Abhishek Patnia is a seasoned machine learning professional currently serving as a Senior Staff Machine Learning Engineer/Scientist at Nubank since March 2024. Additionally, Abhishek provides technical advisory services in generative AI for multiple companies, including Martian, from March to May 2024. Prior to these roles, Abhishek worked as an AI & NLP ML Engineer at various AI startups between April 2023 and March 2024, following a tenure at Tinder from April 2019 to January 2023, where responsibilities included leading a team of machine learning engineers and risk analysts in the Trust & Safety domain. Abhishek's early career includes significant positions at Amazon, where contributions spanned the development of the query understanding model and pioneering the X-Ray for Books initiative. Abhishek holds a Master's degree in Computer Science with a specialization in Human Language Technology from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the Pune Institute of Computer Technology.
