NumFOCUS
Stéfan van der Walt is a researcher at the Berkeley Institute for Data Science. His work at the intersection of various scientific disciplines is complemented by the development of various open-source scientific Python packages—an effort in which he has been enthusiastically involved for more than a decade.
He is the founder of scikit-image, coordinator of the NumPy team at BIDS, and co-author of Elegant SciPy.
