Matthew Martineau

Matthew Martineau is a seasoned engineering professional currently serving as the Technical Lead for Reactor Pressure Vessel (RPV) Design at NuScale Power since May 2021. In this role, Matthew is responsible for critical design decisions within the Nuclear Steam Supply System (NSSS) Engineering organization and actively participates in interdisciplinary design reviews. Prior to this position, Matthew worked as a Mechanical Engineer and Systems Engineer, where responsibilities included verifying design soundness and managing engineering change artifacts using advanced design methodologies and software tools such as Siemens NX and Aras PLM. Matthew's engineering career began at New Hampshire Ball Bearings, Inc. as a Design Engineer, where oversight of manufacturing drawings and adherence to aerospace specifications were key elements of the role. Matthew holds a Master of Science in Materials and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from UC Santa Barbara.
