Sofia Flores-Barboza

Sofia Flores-Barboza, PMP, serves as a Project Controls Specialist 4 at NuScale Power since September 2018 and previously held the position of Project Controls Specialist 3. Prior to this, Sofia worked as a Project Controls and Cost Engineer at Golder, focusing on the Antamina Contract, and as a Senior Project Controls professional at SNC-Lavalin, managing project control for various engineering projects, including a new mill installation for Compañía Minera Milpo S. A. Earlier experience includes a role as a Cost Engineer at Volcan Cia Minera SAA, where Sofia prepared detailed cost reports and investment budgets totaling around $200MM, along with serving as an Assistant Engineer for the Board of Directors and General Management. Sofia holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú and has completed further education at UCLA Extension from 2020 to September 2022.
