Irene Zhang

Irene ZHANG is an experienced procurement and sourcing professional with over two decades of expertise in the food industry across various roles. Currently serving as Regional Category Manager (Lead Buyer) at Nutreco since 2015, Irene has previously held positions such as Global Sourcing Leader for BRF - Brasil Foods, where initiatives included developing Global Sourcing Projects in China and Asia. Prior experience also includes managing procurement and logistics at Elders Fine Foods and strategic procurement at DaChan Food, with strong competencies in supplier management, cost-saving strategies, and international meat trading. Irene holds an IMBA from The University of Hong Kong, a Master's in International Business from the University of International Business and Economics, and a Bachelor's degree in English with a focus on International Business from Tianjin Foreign Studies University.
