John Xu, P.Eng., PMP, is a seasoned Process Engineer with extensive experience in the engineering sector. Currently employed at Nutrien since July 2022, John Xu serves as a contact engineer for ammonia plant projects, providing process engineering support for capital initiatives. Before this role, John Xu worked at Stantec from May 2021 to July 2022, contributing to the design of a Renewable Diesel unit at the Prince George Refinery. Prior positions include work at Bantrel, focusing on upgrading crude furnace systems, and at WorleyParsons in the PACER Division, where John Xu honed skills in hydraulics calculations and process simulation. John Xu also has research experience from the University of Alberta, participating in biomaterials and titanium nanotube projects. John Xu holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering with a Biomedical option from the University of Alberta, completed in 2011.
