Megan Cease

VP of Clinical Research & Reimbursement at Nuwellis

Megan Cease joined Nuwellis in September 2021 as the Director of Clinical Research and was appointed the Vice President of Clinical Research and Reimbursement role in 2022. Megan is responsible for all aspects of clinical strategies, research activities, clinical studies, and physician-initiated projects as well as health economic and reimbursement outcomes.

Megan has over 17 years of clinical research experience, clinical strategy development, leadership, and program management. She has successfully lead research teams in over 30 clinical trial programs with cardiovascular, peripheral vascular, surgical technologies, neuromodulation/neurology, orthopedics, and urology related medical devices, pharmaceuticals, and combination biologics.

Megan graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Science in Physiology & Biology. She also maintains certifications from the Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP) as a Certified Clinical Research Associate (CCRA) and the Project Management Institute (PMI) as a Project Management Professional (PMP).

Megan is passionate about leading clinical research teams to bring transformative medical therapies to patients worldwide.
