Carsten De Dreu

Carsten De Dreu is a distinguished academic with extensive experience in psychology, currently serving as a Hoogleraar at Rijksuniversiteit Groningen since July 2024 and as a Board Member at NWO since February 2024. De Dreu holds the Humboldt Forschungspreis and conducts research as a Guest Researcher at Georg-August-Universität Göttingen and the German Primate Center since May 2024. At the University of Oxford, De Dreu has been a Distinguished Research Fellow since April 2016. Prior roles include Professor and Chair of Social, Economic, and Organisational Psychology at Universiteit Leiden from January 2016 to July 2024, and multiple professorships at the University of Amsterdam from January 1996 to April 2023. De Dreu completed a Ph.D. in Social and Organizational Psychology at the University of Groningen, where earlier studies culminated in a Master's degree in Psychology.
