Mark Hanchett has a long and varied work experience. Mark started as a Mechanical Engineer with Axon in 2007, where they worked on the XREP (eXtended Range Electronic Projectile) program, developing and launching the world's first conductive electric weapon projectile. Mark then moved to a Senior Mechanical Engineer role, where they developed industry leading ergonomic accessories for body worn systems, and reduced the cost of an innovative CEW dart product line by 66%. In 2016, they became the CEO/Founder of Atlis Motor Vehicles, where they are working on changing the world with a new BEV pickup truck.
Mark Hanchett obtained a Bachelor of Science in Engineering (BSE) in Mechanical Engineering from Arizona State University between 2004 and 2006.

Atlis will rebrand as Nxu, Inc. (pronounced: “new”), to more closely align with the Company’s focus on developing technology to make electrification viable for mobility and infrastructure.
